What is Nissan ProPILOT Assist?
This innovative technology works with the Nissan’s forward-facing radar, sensors and electronic control module in order to help the vehicle stay in the center of the driving lane and maintain space between other vehicles. Thanks to the system’s multi-faceted approach, it reduces the number of responses required by the driver and instead, acts autonomously. For example, by reducing the speed of the vehicle automatically when traffic slows ahead.

In fact, the ProPILOT Assist technology can complete several functions, including acceleration, steering and braking. This means you don’t have to turn cruise control off and on again when you encounter slow traffic. ProPILOT Assist does it for you in a smooth, seamless way. While the technology is autonomous in nature, drivers still must have their hands on the steering wheel at all times.
